The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a $350 million loan for Pakistan, aimed at economically empowering women.
These funds will be used to improve women’s access to finance. The goal is to enhance financial inclusion for women across the country.
In its statement, ADB noted that in addition to the $350 million loan, a further $50 million in financial support will also be provided. The loan will be utilized to promote women’s entrepreneurial activities.
Through this program, women will be provided with opportunities in business, employment, and other economic areas. Access to finance will be improved through credit facilities and guarantees.
It is worth noting that women play a vital role in the development of any country, including Pakistan, where more than half the population comprises women.
Women across various cities in Pakistan face numerous challenges due to financial constraints, and it is hoped that ADB’s initiative will help strengthen their economic standing.
