Nusret Gökçe, widely known as Salt Bae for his theatrical salt-sprinkling technique, was reportedly denied entry to a post-match celebration following Paris Saint-Germain’s 5–0 win over Inter Milan in the Champions League.
The incident is the latest in a series of controversies involving Gökçe’s attempts to access high-profile sporting events without proper accreditation.
According to circulating social media footage, Gökçe and an associate were escorted away by event security after allegedly trying to enter a Champions League-related gathering on Saturday evening. The video, which has since gone viral, shows a brief but tense exchange between Gökçe’s entourage and venue staff, ending with their removal from the premises.

Reports suggest that the situation escalated when Gökçe was asked to produce an official invitation. A disagreement reportedly followed, resulting in his expulsion from the event.

Gökçe later addressed the matter, telling News18, “After the Champions League final match, we came to the hotel with the UEFA bus. The reason we were there at that moment was the thousands of fans who wanted to see us there. There was no organization, such as an invitation or a party in any way, so all the news that I was not admitted to the party is unfounded.”
This is not Gökçe’s first controversial appearance at a major sporting event. In 2022, he sparked criticism after entering the field during the FIFA World Cup final in Qatar and handling the trophy—an act widely regarded as a breach of protocol.
