Two Pakistani nationals were tragically killed in Iran on Tuesday after a ransom demand went unmet, according to reports circulating on Iranian social media.
The victims, identified as Faheem and Mujahid, were working as barbers in the Kafa Balochi area of Sarbaz, located in Iran’s Sistan and Balochistan province.
Both men were reportedly abducted by unknown assailants, who later demanded a ransom of Rs 70 million from their families.
Sources indicate that when the ransom was not paid, the kidnappers fatally shot both men. The victims were originally from Karachi and Ahmedpur, Punjab.
The incident has raised serious concerns about the safety of Pakistani migrant workers in the region.
So far, Iranian authorities have not issued an official statement, and the identities of the attackers remain unknown
