As part of the hybrid hosting model agreed upon ahead of the Champions Trophy held on home soil earlier this year, the Pakistan women’s cricket team will not travel to India for the 2025 Women’s World Cup, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially confirmed.
The 13th edition of the ICC Women’s 50-over World Cup is scheduled to take place from September 30 to November 2, with matches to be held across five venues in India and Sri Lanka.
The tournament will feature eight participating nations: India, Australia, England, South Africa, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Pakistan.

Under the hybrid hosting arrangement approved by the ICC, Pakistan’s matches will be played in Sri Lanka, rather than India. According to the official schedule, all of Pakistan’s fixtures will be held in Colombo, the Sri Lankan capital.
India will serve as the primary host nation, staging the majority of matches, including the tournament opener on September 30 in Bengaluru and, potentially, the final on November 2.
